What is MyAuthorSuite Search Tool?
A free browser extension for independent authors and KDP publishers researching books on Amazon. It adds keyword suggestions, result summaries, book details and royalty estimates directly to supported Amazon pages.
Which Amazon marketplaces are supported?
Amazon.com, Amazon.co.uk, Amazon.it, Amazon.de, Amazon.fr and Amazon.es. Suggestions and book data come from the marketplace you are browsing.
Is the extension free? Do I need an account?
The Search Tool is free and does not require a MyAuthorSuite account. Install it in Chrome or Firefox and open a supported Amazon marketplace to start.
Does the extension collect my data?
The extension retrieves suggestions and product data from Amazon and processes them in your browser. It does not collect personal data, search history or usage logs. You can clear locally cached product data in the settings.
How does keyword research work?
Enter a starting phrase to collect related Amazon suggestions. The tool assigns a relative popularity score based on those suggestions, helping you compare keyword ideas. This score is not a search-volume measurement.
What does the KDP-only filter do?
It hides books and products that the extension has not detected as independently published. Detection uses information visible on Amazon and can be incomplete, so check individual books when it matters.
What do the recent publication counts cover?
The tool loads a page of results sorted by publication date and counts books with valid dates from the last 30 and 90 days. BSR figures are included when available. The counts cover the results analyzed, not every book in the niche.
How are paperback and hardcover royalties estimated?
For books detected as KDP titles, the extension uses the available price, page count, dimensions and marketplace to estimate royalties for supported print options. Check the actual print type and publishing details before relying on an estimate; royalties are not your total profit.
Does it estimate ebook royalties too?
Yes, for ebooks detected as KDP titles with the required data. Estimates use the price, marketplace and, where needed, an estimated delivery cost based on file size. Check the applicable royalty option and actual file details in KDP.
Can I download Amazon videos?
You can save product videos and customer review videos from supported product pages. Availability depends on the video format Amazon provides; some videos cannot be downloaded.
Should I use private browsing?
Private browsing can reduce the influence of existing cookies and a signed-in Amazon account. It is optional and does not make results completely neutral. To use it, allow the extension in private or incognito windows in your browser settings.
